Silent Speakers
Reclaiming Anishinaabemowin
This first-of-its-kind pilot program in Manitoba supports Silent Speakers—those whose first language was Anishinaabemowin but whose connection was interrupted—in reclaiming their voice and identity. Grounded in healing, empowerment, and community, the program offers a supportive space for language reclamation through art therapy, group counseling, and cultural reconnection.
